If you are flying, Salt Lake City International Airport is approximately 35 minutes from Park City and 45 minutes from the Promontory Club.

If you are driving, I-80 is the East-West interstate going through Park City. I-15 is the North-South interstate which goes through Salt Lake City.

Getting to Park City

To book at Promontory please contact:

Carter Craigo, Cabin Rentals Coordinator

6347 Nicklaus Valley Road, Park City, UT 84098

Office: 435.333.4222 Email: ccraigo@promontoryclub.com

The rental car companies are conveniently located INSIDE the SLC airport just as you exit baggage claim through the double doors leading to the garage. Hertz, Thrifty, Avis, Budget and Enterprise, to name a few, are located here. You do not need to take a shuttle to get to the rental car counter.

If you are staying on property at Promontory and you don’t want to rent a car at the airport, it’s very easy to access Lyft or Uber at SLC and they are usually pretty reasonable. While on property at Promontory, a shuttle may be available if a large number of guests do not rent cars.

If you are staying in Park City and you don’t want to rent a car, again, Uber, Lyft and Park City Transit are easy to access and usually quite plentiful during August.

On Sunday, transportation to the Woodland Biscuit Company and the Unita National Forrest will be provided from Promontory as parking is somewhat limited at the restaurant.

Kimball Arts Festival

The 54th Park City Kimball Arts Festival is a three-day, award-winning visual arts festival located in the heart of the world-famous resort community of Park City. Every year professional artists are selected by a blind jury to showcase their work, and more than 29,000 art enthusiasts from around the world converge on Park City’s historic Main Street. In 2022, reported artist sales totaled over $1.86 million.  The Park City Kimball Arts Festival consistently ranks among the top festivals in the country for artist sales and attendee experience. Offering 13 visual arts media, this annual event also features live music, gourmet food and drink, and a host of creative and collaborative activities. Proceeds from the event support the Kimball Art Center, Park City's nonprofit community art center since 1976.

Park City Museum on Main Street

For those of you traveling to the Kimball Arts Festival, you might want to drop in at the Park City Museum on Main Street.  This award winning-museum preserves artifacts from Park City’s mining past and showcases how the city evolved into the tourist destination it is now.  Group tours are available with a one month advance reservation.  The guided tour lasts approximately 1 hour and is $20 per person with a $200 minimum.

OPEN DAILY 10am to 5pm.

If you want to GET AWAY from the hustle and bustle of Main Street, consider going to the 3500 acre Blue Sky Ranch in Wanship — located approximately 15 minutes from the I-80 gate of Promontory and 25 - 35 minutes from Main Street Park City.  Purchased by Michael Phillips in 2004, his dream of turning Blue Sky into a multi-use resort was first realized with the completion of the High West Distillery in 2014.  In June 2019, the Lodge at Blue Sky was opened by the Auberge Resorts and is ranked the #1 Utah resort by Travel and Leisure.  Take a tour of High West, enjoy a whisky tasting and then walk up to the lodge for a little tidbit on the terrace.  The road from the distillery to the lodge is not long but is fairly steep and, according to the manager, cost $20 million to build.  As with all Auberge Resorts the setting and architecture are very special.

The High West Distillery is open Wed. - Sunday, 11am - 3pm and tours start promptly on the hour.   Click on HIGH WEST for more info and RESERVATIONS to book a tour.

It’s commonly said in Park City that residents come for the winter but stay for the summer. Deer Valley and Park City/Canyons resorts turn into mountain adventure parks in the summer with hiking, mountain biking, alpine sliding and other outdoor activities.  An assortment of ski lifts take summer tourists to the peaks for a spectacular view of the Wasatch Back. You can book your lift tickets and adventures online. For many other summer activities and a summary of all that Park City has to offer,  go to VISIT PARK CITY.
